Purchased for a Engish barricade door. I wanted the natural aluminum finish so I took the black coating off. It was a lot of work to remove the black. I ended up with a beautiful solid aluminum knocker that looks better each year from the coastal weather and fits my Carpenter Gothic farmhouse perfectly.
